Chloe Fernandez has helped brands gain exposure, cultivate their image and master their designs. As assistant designer to Peter Hildalgo she worked with clients from Alvin Alley, Paul Taylor Dance Company to the New York City Ballet. Chloe has also helped design and create costumes for celebrities from Kanye West to Nikki Minaj for MTV VMAS awards. Later a wholesale manager and assistant designer for Diana Broussard and store manager at Kirnazabete.
Chloe has worked with many large publication such as vogue, As If and V Magazine. She has made numerous lookbooks and campaigns capturing each designers aesthetic and needs.
Chloe started Wardements in 2017 with co-founder Ward Stegerhoek, who she’s worked with as creative director for hair, throughout the years. Chloe as creative director, Wardements has been featured in magazine from Vogue Italia, Vogue Paris to V Magazine. Wardements is worn by top celebrities around the world from Gigi Hadid to Cindy Crawford, even her daughter Kia Gerber. To launch FW18 Wardements and V Magazine teamed up to create a tailor made pop-up hosted by the iconic photography duo Inez Van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin. Wardements has even collaborated with Pamela Anderson and her foundation. All Proceeds from the Orange Babies and Pamela Anderson Collaborations are donated.
With over 30 years of experience and a background in design, wholesale and retail, Chloe believes fashion is ever evolving, but we see a vast difference between sustainable, Ethics and quality brands between fast fashion companies and niche or luxury brands/goods. It is import for us all to leave a positive mark on the industry.
